To the 40th anniversary of the foundation of the Festival Liszt Albano, the Liszt Ferenc Memorial Museum and Research Centre and the Italian Cultural Institute in Budapest organise a concert featuring Italian clarinettist Maurizio D’Alessandro, director of the Festival Liszt Albano and Hungarian pianist Krisztina Fejes. Before the concert the documentary “Liszt in Albano and the Albano Liszt Festival” will be presented in the care of the Associazione Amici della Musica Cesare De Sanctis Festival Liszt Albano ETS. The festival was founded in 1986 in Albano Laziale to highlight Franz Liszt’s connection with this town, which was further cemented by awarding the title Honorary Canon of Albano Cathedral to the composer by cardinal Gustav Adolf zu Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst in 1879. The recital will be opened by Gyula Fekete, Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Academic Affairs at the Liszt Academy and Maurizio D’Alessandro, director of the Festival Liszt Albano.
