Vintage Dolls Presented by Liszt Academy

The vocal trios of the 1930s and ’40s represent far more than a nostalgic aesthetic; they embody a rigorous musical discipline built on precise three-part harmonies and the sophisticated elegance of the swing era. Founded in 2017, Vintage Dolls bring this heritage back to the concert hall, though their work goes far beyond simple imitation.

This album launch marks a significant milestone for the ensemble. Through the original compositions by Eszter Munkácsy, they prove that the musical language of that golden era can find a new, authentic voice in the Hungarian language. The programme offers an intriguing duality: the first half is dedicated to these original songs – contemporary reflections that feel as though they were penned in the heart of the swing era.
