Pianist Izabella Simon’s unique series invites young explorers aged 8 to 10 into the secret corners of the Liszt Academy, where music, architecture, and the fine arts go hand in hand. Rather than simply listening from their seats, children will embark on an interactive journey, solving playful puzzles to uncover the building’s hidden treasures.
The voyage of discovery begins beneath the building’s extraordinary dome, where young visitors can experiment with glass tumblers to try their hand at making music together. From there, they will follow the trail of light through the Liszt Academy’s windows to discover the magical “glassy” harmonics of the violin and the celesta, guided by the melodies of Debussy and Mozart. The adventure culminates in the Artists’ Room and the Grand Hall, where – accompanied by the music of Ferenc Liszt – participants can hunt for the hidden inscriptions of concord and harmony nestled among the hall’s magnificent ceiling decorations.
