In order for people anywhere in the world to celebrate the eternal new beginning with music, irrespective of whether it is the restarting of a natural or a conventional cycle, they certainly have no need of any sort of institutionalized tradition. Despite this, such traditions do exist, and what is more, they enjoy increasing popularity in mass social circumstances presenting spontaneous social communication with particular challenges. In Hungary, the past few decades have witnessed the launch of several such concert series, the Liszt Academy joined this seasonal traditionlast year.  On the 1st January 2020 the beginning of the New Year will be celebrated by a joint concert of the Radio Symphony Orchestra and the students of the Liszt Academy, offering a selection of the most popular classical melodies to the audience.
