The most important class, however, for me and for hundreds of other Hungarian musicians, was the chamber-music class. From about the age of fourteen, and until graduation from the Academy, all instrumentalists except the heavy-brass players and percussionists had to participate in this course. Presiding over it for many years was the composer Leó Weiner, who thus exercised an enormous influence on three generations of Hungarian musicians.

The Hungarian Heritage Award-winning, Junior Prima and Prima Award-winning Angelica Girls’ Choir conducted by Zsuzsanna Gráf is preparing a true, unadulterated Christmas concert in a genuine festive atmosphere. Their programme includes musical specialities related to the holiday season: works by Zoltán Kodály, Miklós Kocsár, Lajos Bárdos, Max Reger, Ferenc Liszt and Christmas music from Hungary and other nations. The concert will feature performances by outstanding artists such as Andrea Vigh (harp), Zsolt Máté Mészáros (organ), István Horváth (tenor), Eri Yamamoto and Valentin Magyar (piano) and the Saint Ephraim Male Choir.
