Péter Zombola: Passion

INTERMISSION

Schubert: Symphony No. 9 in C major, D. 944

Hungarian Radio Choir
Danubia Orchestra Óbuda
Conductor: Máté Hámori

“I couldn’t list many such poignant works by composers living today. There are masterpieces, explosively original pieces, stunning works, but few of such spine-tingling drama. A blackened Caravaggio in the dark side aisle of a small church in Rome, made in 2013: this is Zombola’s Passion,” says Máté Hámori, conductor for this recital.
