Wiener Sängerknaben
Conductor: Manolo Cagnin

It was over ninety years ago in 1928 that the Vienna Boys’ Choir first appeared in Budapest. Since then, the globetrotting children’s choir, which has seen numerous changes of generation, has become an old-time favourite among Hungarian audiences with a number of albums, TV shows and live concerts to its credit. Simply Classical, the title of their 2020/21 concert season as well as their latest album, is built on the choir’s traditional repertoire, which spans epochs from the Renaissance to the present day. This explains how Vivaldi, Schubert and Schumann will be performed side by side in the same evening. Tonight’s concert will feature pieces by these three composers seasoned with polkas, waltzes and other curiosities from their Strauss album, which was released last year.

Tickets and season tickets purchased for March 27th 2020 are valid for this concert.
