Guitarist Gábor Gadó is a living legend on the music scene of Europe. His philosophically profound and soaring, unique and original music that simply cannot be pigeonholed into one genre or another exploded like a comet into the public consciousness in the years around the turn of the millennium. By that time Gadó had lived and worked in France for many years. His music is rooted in avant-garde and free styles but he himself far surpassed these definitions, establishing the unique, so-called Gadó style, which has since attracted many devotees both here in Hungary and abroad. The guitarist, winner of the Bobby Jaspar Prize, has headlined at all the leading festivals in Europe and around the world, while he has released nearly a dozen solo albums. He only rarely performs in Hungary but these concerts are always extremely important events in the musical life of our country. This is no different now, when he takes to the stage of the Liszt Academy in the company of his quintet made up of top Hungarian jazz musicians.
