Day of Hungarian Classical Music Founded by the Liszt Academy and the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra

With the stated intent of establishing a tradition, the Liszt Academy and the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra is launching a series of programmes called The Day of Hungarian Classical Music on May 30, commemorating the birthday of the late pianist and conductor Zoltán Kocsis. The organisers have invited several ensembles and educational institutions across the country to participate in the event.

The Gustav Mahler Research Center has been established by the University of Innsbruck and the Gustav Mahler "Euregio" Cultural Centre in Italy. Lóránt Péteri, head of the Musicology Department at the Liszt Academy, also became a member of the advisory board of the institution established in Toblach.
European Heritage Label network announces photo competition

Vice-President of the Liszt Academy receives KÓTA's award

This year, the Association of Hungarian Choirs, Orchestras and Folk Music Ensembles (KÓTA) presented one of its annual awards to head of department and Vice-President of Education Csaba Kutnyánszky, and a posthumous award to university professor Mária Kleeberg Strohmayer.
