The chamber music festival in Shanghai on 4 June, 2017 was the fruit of the trilateral agreement between the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.

The image spot of the Bartók World Competition & Festival to be held this fall for the first time has been recognised with one of the most prestigious international communication design prizes. With this prize, the number of creativity awards acknowledging the event paying tribute to Bartók’s memory organised by the Liszt Academy has come to three.

More than 100 artists had registered for the competition bearing the name of the universally acknowledged Hungarian composer. This first competition – launching in a month’s time - is open to violinists. Of the entrants, more than 50 received the opportunity to perform live in front of a jury.
Ádám Kiss B. won the 1st Kalotaszeg Lead Fiddler Competition

The Kalotaszeg Lead Fiddler Competition was organised for the first time 27-30 July within the framework of the Méra World Music Festival. Ádám B. Kiss, a former student of the Liszt Academy, came first among 9 contestants.

In the category ’Instrumentalist’, the trumpeter Gábor Boldoczki, member of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music academic staff was acknowledged with the highly prestigious award for his label Oriental Trumpet Concertos.
