On 15 June, the deadline for applications was closed, 33 ensembles submitted their entry videos on the online interface for this year’s string quartet competition website.

The online programmes of the first ever Day of Hungarian Classical Music event, held on May 30 - the birthday of the late Zoltán Kocsis – attracted an outstanding number of viewers.

Ticket sales for the autumn concerts organised by the Liszt Academy, featuring a host of Hungarian and foreign celebrities, started on June 2.

Liszt Academy will reopen to the public on 1 July, our concerts until 30 June are still online.

We don't hold public concerts at the Liszt Academy until 15 May 2021.

A 5-strong project consortium led by the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Academy has been awarded a significant funding of ~270.000€ through the Erasmus+ ‘Strategic Partnerships Call in Response to Covid-19’.

Since the pandemic has made it difficult to prepare for the Bartók World Competition, we extend the deadline to 15 June 2021.
