The 40-second spot Lisztery summing up the ars poetica of the concert centre of the Liszt Academy (currently celebrating its 140th anniversary) has won the music conservatory a second Red Dot Design Award.

Four teachers from the Liszt Academy as well as several of its present and past students have been bestowed state honours.

During autumn 2015, the Career Office of the Liszt Academy is organizing seven concerts by young talented musicians on the stage of the Sir Georg Solti Chamber Hall and in the Chamber Hall of the Old Academy of Music.

The gifted pianist, who is supported by the Career Office of the Liszt Academy, won second prize at the 20th International Carl Filtsch Piano Competition.

László Szentgyörgyvölgyi’s appointment runs until 15 July 2018.

The reconstruction project of the main building of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music was awarded World Silver Winner in two categories at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards 2015 in property development presented at the organization’s annual congress held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Invited by the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Catalan viola da gamba artist Jordi Savall held a master class in the Solti Hall on the morning of 18 May, while in the evening he performed Bach’s perhaps most complex late masterpiece Musikalisches Opfer (The Musical Offering) with Le Concert des Nations before a full house at the Grand Hall.

The 2015/2016 season tickets with a primarily classical musical repertoire are only one part of the varied program of the Liszt Academy Concert Center, which also provides jazz and folk music aficionados with impressive star performances.
