22 December 2014

The French classical music television channel first recorded the chamber music recital of Steven Isserlis and Dénes Várjon, devoting particular attention to the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.

As a result of the long-haul preparatory work carried out by the Communications, Marketing and Media Content Development Directorate headed by Imre Szabó Stein, the Liszt Academy entered into a cooperative production partnership agreement with MEZZO. As the first step towards a fruitful cooperation, the French thematic TV channel devoted to classical music records and will later broadcaststhe chamber music recital of Steven Isserlis and Dénes Várjon on 12 December. Within the framework of the agreement, in 2015 the Liszt Academy will have the opportunity to make an appearance on MEZZO’s television and online surfaces as one of the most outstanding concert venues and institutions of music education in Europe, including the possibility to record and screen some further concerts organized by the Liszt Academy Concert Centre. “It can be considered as a significant achievement in itself that MEZZO is to broadcast concerts from the Liszt Academy, but there is more to it than that: besides the broadcasting of particular performances, the cooperation agreement also allows the Liszt Academy to have a marked and powerful presence in the television and online programs of this widely renowned channel; therefore, through this production partnership, more intense and in-depth than usual, the Liszt Academy will be able to further raise its international profile and acclaim,” as communications director Imre Szabó Stein commented on the agreement.
