From the 40 contestants only three went on to the finals held on the last day of the 11th International Clarinet Competition in Carlino, Italy, which took place between October 25 - 27, 2013. One of them was 3rd year BA student of the Liszt Academy of Music. The clarinet student, soon to earn her Bachelor's degree studying under Zsolt Szatmári, played parts from Weber's F minor and Spohr's C minor Clarinet Concerto in the first two rounds and won the prestigious second place with Mozart's Clarinet Concerto and Stravinsky's "Three Pieces for Clarinet" in the final round.
