Two Professional Wins for Liszt Academy’s New Image

15 December 2013

Both the single-evening concert sheets and the 2013 concert magazine of the Liszt Academy were awarded at the prestigious Hungarian advertising and media competition.

The music publications published by Liszt Academy's Communications Directorate jointly with its creative agency, Allison Advertising won two prizes at the Media Design Competition organized by the Kreatív Group. In granting the awards, the Media Design jury appreciated the publications' world-class execution and the splendid visual representation of the integrated Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music and Concert Centre. "The new brand image and publication structure of the Liszt Academy represent a unique quality," said Balázs Román, editor-in-chief of Kreatív Magazine, the acknowledged number one organ of Hungarian advertising and media market, on the awarding ceremony which took place on 11 December 2013 at the Roham Bar in Budapest.

According to the jury, the global brand image of the Liszt Academy was also in the running for the top category of integrated content – meaning the complete portfolio of print and online publications. However, the announcement of the competition allowed only those websites to be eligible by the Media Design committee which had been launched prior to 30 September 2013, and the zeneakademia.hu site got started only for the October 22 grand opening of the renewed music palace on Liszt Ferenc Square. As Balázs Román pointed out, the Liszt Academy's success was one of the main reasons why the professional committee, after evaluating almost 500 entries, decided to extend next year's competition with the category of complete corporate image. Originally, Media Design was aimed to be the competition of publishing houses, advertising and media agencies, and companies specialized in web and mobile design; thus, the Liszt Academy triumphed over most of its rivals on their own ‘home turf'. The so-called single-evening concert sheets won second prize in the section of "flyers/brochures", while the Academy's 2013 concert magazine was awarded third place among the "monthly or less frequent publications".
