“Such a delicate equilibrium of proportions, such a blending of magical tones testifies to true lyricism and is a guarantee that Hungarian audiences can still expect, and will receive, so much from Baranyay.” These are the enthusiastic words of András Pernye on László Baranyay, debuting as a concert artist in 1972, and the nearly fifty years that have passed since then have more than borne out this praise. In recent decades, domestic and international artist teaching, alongside, naturally, concert-going audiences, have benefited enormously from the pianist, who has been teaching at the Liszt Academy since 1973. This concert by the 75-year-old László Baranyay promises to provide unassailable proof of this assertion in both respects since an entire team of grateful students also take to the podium in the company of the celebrated Liszt Prize winner, thereby representing the true chain of successive generations of Baranyay students.
