The European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA) has been an outstanding success throughout almost two decades of activity. The ultimate goal is to provide fertile ground for shaping the musical world of the future, with a particular emphasis on chamber music. The international programme ECMA PRO was brought into being to serve as a workshop for young, exceptionally talented ensembles. The programme does not only enable participants to enhance their knowledge in master classes, but also to introduce themselves in high-profile festival performances and showcase concerts.
Trio Pantoum from France has already run a remarkable career since its beginnings in 2016: they won several competitions and the 3rd prize at the prestigious ARD International Music Competition Munich. They are artists in residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel Belgium and at the Fondation Singer-Polignac Paris. Despite a busy concert schedule, they keep improving their skills with tutors such as members of Trio Wanderer and Quatuor Modigliani, Hatto Beyerle, Johannes Meissl, Günter Pichler, and Emmanuelle Bertrand.
Founded in Copenhagen in 2018, NOVO Quartet is one of the most promising young ensembles in Denmark. Their exceptional talent has already been recognized by professors such as Johannes Meissl, Hatto Beyerle, Valentin Erben and Tim Frederiksen. They have performed in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, The Netherlands, Switzerland, France, Germany, China and the USA. Outstanding among their numerous successes are the 1st prize and four special prizes of the prestigious Geneva International Music Competition.
