The World Percussion Group (WPG) is an international collective of outstanding percussionists from around the world. Musicians are selected through a rigorous audition process, ensuring that only the most talented artists join the ensemble. The group’s setup speaks for itself: members hail from 45 countries. Led by artistic director Tim Palmer, himself a globally acclaimed percussionist, the WPG offers a thrilling, 80-minute program that showcases the ensemble’s stylistic versatility – from classical masterpieces by Bach and Ginastera to cutting-edge contemporary works. The group’s mission is to inspire audiences worldwide, delivering performances that balance artistic excellence with accessibility. WPG stands as a symbol of artistic collaboration, cultural dialogue, and the innovative future of percussion music.
