The Liszt Academy, in collaboration with the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and the Embassy of Israel, is organizing a chamber music concert titled Reconnections. The event brings together students and faculty from both institutions, offering an opportunity not only to showcase the intersections and differences between the two cultures but also to celebrate the act of creating music together. The concert features prominent faculty members from both academies and holds significant diplomatic importance. The Israeli Samuel Rubin Academy of Music was founded in 1945 by Central and Eastern European émigrés, many of whom were Hungarian. Among its founders were violinists Ödön Pártos, László Vincze, and Ilona Fehér, cellist Ilona Vincze, and composer Sándor Boskovich, who were also founding members of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. This concert aims to nurture and celebrate the musical connections between Israel and Hungary.
