The person who reformed song. The composer who set poems to music as nobody had done before. The researcher who lifted up the piano from its role as simple accompaniment and gave it equal status to that of the vocalist. This is Franz Schubert, the László Bíró (inventor of the Biro ballpoint pen) of Romanticism and the third inventor in the spring season of Liszt Kidz Academy. At this March matinee musicologist Dániel Mona assisted by two young talented student singers and their piano accompanists introduces how much emotion fits into the play of a vocal-piano duo, how the piano moulds the characters and tells the story, and what posterity inherited from Schubert innovations in the song genre. Love, galloping, mourning and everything that could come to the desk of a psychologist – Schubert knew exactly what the Liszt Kidz audience needs!
