In spring 2014, Dénes Várjon will give two orchestral concerts with the Concerto Budapest in the Grand Hall of the Liszt Academy. In these concerts he will be performing all five Beethoven piano concertos. Szabolcs Molnár asked the pianist while he was preparing.

In the following weeks many great pianists – including Gergely Bogányi and Tamás Érdi – will grace the stage of Liszt Academy’s Grand Hall. The secrets of the genre and the century old traditions of the Grand Hall known by many as the Mecca of pianists are revealed in János Mácsai’s article published in Liszt Academy Concert Magazine 2014 latest issue.

The Liszt Academy has double reason to be proud: the organizers of the competition are promoting the 15-year-old cellist of the Special School for Young Talents using our short film made at the official reopening of the academy on 22 October 2013.

Dénes Várjon's chamber music partners will be on 7 April 2014 cello virtuoso Steven Isserlis and Joshua Bell.
