A record number of 255 young artists from a total of 47 countries submitted valid applications for the 4th Éva Marton International Singing Competition to be organised by the Liszt Academy in September. Singers with special voice ranges are also among the contestants.

The autumn 2020 season tickets of the Liszt Academy are available for purchase; the concerts will feature performances by Julia Lezhneva, Il Giardino Armonico and Isabelle Faust, Emmanuel Pahud and his wind partners, among others, as well as many outstanding Hungarian musicians. Continuously updated information about the new date of concerts cancelled in the spring and the refund of tickets is available on the institution's website.

Following the joint initiative of the Lyon and Paris National Conservatories of Music and Dance, the renowned prelude of Marc-Antoine Charpentier's Te Deum will be performed first on April 3 and at 7 p.m. every consecutive Friday. The Liszt Academy has warmly welcomed the invitation: every week a different professor will be performing the piece at a balcony concert.

The Award Committee granted the 2020 Bartók-Pásztory Prize to violinist Barnabás Kelemen, professor at the Liszt Academy, and composer Péter Zombola. The university will hold the award ceremony on September 3.
