The 24-year-old Veljko Nenadić won first prize at the award ceremony of the 2022 competition for composers, and his work will be on the repertoire of next year's round for violinists.

Violin—piano duos were submitted for the 2022 round organised for composers, with violinists Ágnes Langer and Barnabás Kelemen as well as pianist József Balog performing at the gala.

On 29 October, the works of Mozart, Janáček, Schubert and Dvořák will be performed in the Grand Hall of Liszt Academy – with wind instruments also featured in addition to piano and strings.

The 5th Éva Marton International Singing Competition of the Liszt Academy ended on Sunday evening with a repeat performance by the twelve finalists and the special awards ceremony at the Budapest Opera House.

Andrei Danilov, 34, was awarded the first prize with 30,000 euros and also the audience award at the finals of the 5th Eva Marton International Singing Competition at the Liszt Academy on Saturday evening. Russian bass Aleksei Kulagin took second place with €20,000 and Jeong Inho Korean bass won the €10,000 third prize. 

Six female and six male competitor will take the stage with a colourful programme at the Final in the Grand Hall of Liszt Academy on Saturday evening.

The 5th Éva Marton International Singing Competition organized by the Liszt Academy began on Sunday evening with the opening statement of Éva Marton, followed by the drawing of the order in which the contestants will perform.
